Schizophrenic weather

Strange day here in the Bay Area. When I left for work (in my car), the rain was coming down so hard you couldn’t see. A coworker of mine got so soaked waiting for the bus that he went shopping and bought a new outfit before coming into the office. The news reported 60mph gusts of wind; the tree branches outside my cube window were horizontal all morning.

Now, it’s 3:30pm, and the sun is out and skies are blue. It’s still pretty windy, but nothing like this morning. It’s like a completely different day. Weird.

I had to go to the dentist today. I decided to bus there, to keep dry. Poxy damn bus didn’t show, did it? I went home and took Arnie out. Just before I got to 280 the damn skies opened and I got DRENCHED. This is the wettest I have been on a m/c since Don and I rode 40 miles home from Pleasanton in 1997.
On the way back…dry, except for a few spits.
Go figure. (I want rain pants! Wahhhh!)

It’s because California knew that if the weather just cleared up enough for my flight to take off smoothly, I’d get the hell out for the weekend. 😉
