Today’s fun in the garage: pulling out Arnie’s carburetors with great effort and realising how much of a pig it’s going to be to get them back in again…next weekend. ;-)
I’d rather make an air compressor.

Certainly takes less time, that’s for sure. :( Poor Arnie!

    A couple of suggestions.
Loose the gauge dial and shorten the air hose in one fell swoop by prising (or carefully Dremeling) off the metal clip at the compressor end, cut down the hose and reattach using a small hose clip.
    Shorten the power lead.
You’ve got far more length than you need on both as it stands.

That’s a good idea for the air hose. Though I’m still tempted to leave the power cable as is for now, as I’ll need to stretch it from my bike to whoever’s bike has a flat tire. If it just needed to get from my 12v socket to my tire, yes, 90% of that cord would be gone now. ;)

I’ve since cut off the dial and about a 16″ piece of the air hose
(using a 1/4″ sprinkler barbed connector to splice the hose pieces together). This brought the total size down to 5″ x 3″ x 2″.
