Just found out that my coworker Ian had a motorcycle accident last night. I don’t know many details; it sounds like he hit some rough road, came off, and slid face-first for a while. Thank goodness for helmets. The preliminary report I read said that he went into the ER with a head injury, but as Ian wrote, he didn’t break his neck, nor does he feel noticeably stupider than he did before.
Sounds like he’s OK — I don’t know about the motorcycle. It’s a borrowed bike (the owner is out of the country for a while), so I offered to fix it back up if it needs it. I don’t live close to Ian at all, so I can’t really help in any practical way; looking after the bike is really the only way I know how to help. 🙁
