are they calling you a clown? hey clown!

  2. I was in Tonopah last week. We passed the Clown hotel because we wanted to stay at Tonopah Station, it has the second best restaraunt in town. As luck would have it, I won a free room there. We took the Extraterrestrial Highway down through Rachel Nevada and into Vegas. A little out of the way but a fun trip past Area 51.

What was the best restaurant? 😉 We ate at the Banc Club, which was decent for sandwiches but crazy smoky.
I just love the ET highway/Rachel! We’ll be going back that way in a few days. 🙂

  4. I like the Mexican Restaurant the best; just about a mile down the road (into your picture) from the Clown hotel. They have some sign boasting about their big TV out front. They will make you fried ice cream if you ask, although it is not on the menu.
I paid $3.89 for 91 octane in Rachel so save up. They only have one pump and it only has 91. We would have tried to make Vegas on one tank but we had a nasty headwind all morning. Good thing too, we would not have made it.

Was anyone at the CLOWN MOTEL on Sept 26 2006 that remembers a Ricky Hays being arrested there?

I know no one has posted in awhile but I’ve stayed at the Clown Motel plenty of times for my high school wrestling trips to this town and of course we just had to stay there I’m afraid of clowns so I used to cover the clown pictures in the rooms with the towels they had and my coach would bring a screw driver and would take the pictures down until we had to leave. I thought it was a creepy place. But at least I can say I’ve stayed there.
