More Hell’s Gate

After buying fudge, we wandered out onto the bridge spanning the
Fraser. The river was a bit higher than normal; about 160′ deep. It
didn’t look anywhere near that deep, especially given the turbulence of
the surface.

It started pouring again while we were at the base of the canyon.
Naturally. Both Tony and I managed to get water inside our helmets, god
knows how. It amazes me that I could get so excited about looking at a
river, given how soaked we were. 🙂photo_208.jpg

Hey, I get excited looking at rivers all the time–maybe because I’m a whitewater kayaker. Of course, the Fraser at Hell’s Gate is some whitewater!
