I had dinner with some Chain Gang guys tonight and it came up that Andrew (Senor Peligro) is tall but has a low seat on his F650GS. I said, huh, funny that, I’m short and I have the normal seat.
And thus, an after-dinner swap was made.
We’re ostensibly just trying out one another’s seats to see if the grass really is greener. So far I’m impressed, though — I can get the balls of my feet down now! With no suspension work! I think I’m in love.
The only problem? Andrew’s seat? Orange.
I’m not sure what it says about my taste that I really don’t find this combination horrifically unattractive. Maybe I’ll change my mind tomorrow in the harsh light of day….

It’s all I can do not to barf on my MacBook.
Oh, don’t do that! That would then fug your MacBook and we’d have TWO messes to deal with.
Why not get some dye for vynil and dye it black… or Blue for that matter… Any decent autoparts store should carr some. Just test is a safe area on the seat, small patch on the under side, if its good, do the hole thing.
Just use lots and lots of Sharpie!
Or better yet! Use multiple colours of Sharpie and carefully draw your own plaid seat! Everyone wants a plaid seat right?
