Two seasons down…

Tonight marked the official end of my second season playing hockey.

We had 20-minute periods at Ice Oasis tonight for the women’s league Stanley Keg game….I made it up until the 3rd period before pretty much wanting to die. 😀 It didn’t help that we started the game with 4 defensemen, but a forward left partway through the game and so one of our D moved up. 3 defensemen in a 20 minute period against a VERY strong opposing line (Shauna, Molly, and Gloria) makes for a pretty tired defense.

But the slaughter wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be when I saw the team lineups (my team lost 0-2), and I’m proud to say that I was on the bench for both goals. As long as I conveniently forget that the other forward lines were playing down a bit, I’ll be confident in my D abilities. 😉

Anyway, it was a great second season in both NCWHL and Ice Oasis….here’s to an equally fun and productive third season. 🙂
