Hey, get your hand off of that front brake while you’re leaned over like that!
Hee! I was wondering who’d pick up on that. In my defense, I’m just covering it, not squeezing it…but god only knows why I’m even doing that. Too much street riding, I guess.
Hey, have you ever considered doing a track day at Thunderhill in Willows, CA.? I just rode it for the first time last Wednesday at a Keigwin’s event, and it is a very nice track. Tight corners, long sweeping corners, negative camber, positive camber, lots of elevation changes…. just an all around fun track. And it’s a lot cheaper than Sears Point or Laguna (cha-ching) Seca. Screw the Sundial Bridge… come up north for Thunderhill instead!
> Screw the Sundial Bridge…
!! Geoff! Say it ain’t so! *weep*
Oh, poor maligned Sundial Bridge…he didn’t mean it…*sniffle*
Yeah, I should get up to Thunderhill. Maybe if I, cough, get a new bike and, cough, make the SVS into a track bike, cough…
But the Sundial Bridge isn’t safe either. It’s on my list.
Haha!! My deepest appologies to anyone that may have been hurt, scorned or offended by my “screw the bridge” comment.
For those of you that love useless, yet fascinating facts and figures, consider this: The bridge ended up costing approximately $23 million. Never mind that the original budget was only $12 million. The deck is 700 feet long, okay? Assuming that you were to stroll accross yon bridge at a rate of 2 feet per stride, every step that you take is worth approximately $65,714.29!! Now, let’s assume that you stroll along at a leisurely pace of 1.5 mph. At that rate, it would take you approximately 5mins 18seconds to cross the bridge. Under these assumptions, it costs roughly $72,327 PER SECOND to walk accross the sundial bridge!! I guess it’s pretty impressive after all. Phew! I’m spent!!
“Yeah, I should get up to Thunderhill. Maybe if I, cough, get a new bike and, cough, make the SVS into a track bike, cough…”
And just *what* would this new bike be? Something with a Z?
