Today is Day One of the Hug the Curve Tour. It’s not a riding day, though — we’re picking two gals up from the airport (two are already here) and will be taking them to get their rental bikes.
Those of us already here had dinner last night with Brenda, who runs Mountain to Sound Motorcycle Rentals with her husband. She’s down to earth, funny, friendly, and very nice. If anyone out there ever needs to rent a bike in the Seattle area, give them a whirl.
Yesterday was an “interesting” riding day — 430 miles, 200 of which were through a torrential downpour. Gotta love the Pacific Northwest. The Givi bags kept my stuff 100% dry, and the TourMaster rain pants kept my legs dry once I was able to pull off the freeway to put them on, but everything else was soaked. Ah well. $1.00 in the motel dryer solved that problem upon arrival.
