That time of year

A bunch of my friends are now either off on their solo rides for the summer, or about to leave. I am Teh Jealous.

Steph is currently somewhere in Nevada, on her way to Florida and then Georgia for the Women on Wheels Ride-In.

Becca was in Tennessee last I heard, on her way to the National in West Virginia.

Linda leaves sometime soon, methinks, to ride around Nevada and look for historical markers.

Diana leaves at the end of next week to ride to Georgia, also for the WOW Ride-In.

Despite being insanely jealous of all of them, it makes me very very happy to know so many kickass women who are riding solo across the country.

Well, I for one would certainly be happier riding with you than solo. You’re fun!

I’m getting crabby and short-tempered, which is a sure sign that I’m ready to go. 😉

I’m jealous of all of you. I haven’t done a real trip in ages. Goddamit, I need to too.

I’m both excited and terrified. Of course it doesn’t help that two people are posting to the Centauro group with dead Centauros due to electrical problems that fried their ECUs. I can just see myself stuck in Tupelo, MS with a dead bike. On the other hand, I just mapped out a pretty amazing route through Colorado and Utah for the way back…
