Reno kicked my ass!

Well, more specifically, riding to and from Reno did.

My leather jacket normally chafes a small part of my inner left elbow, but for some reason on this trip it chafed right through the skin. Ouch. Nothing like riding 300 miles home with the jacket rubbing an open wound into my arm. Neosporin seems to be helping, and at this point it doesn’t look like gangrene. 😉

Also, I got some sort of funky heat rash on both ankles, near where the sock, leather pants, and leather boot all overlap. I think coolmax or otherwise lightweight socks are in my future.

I generally wear REI CoolMax light hiking socks, they seem to do the trick.

How did the new seat feel?

I second Micheal’s Coolmax socks and add Wright Socks (also at REI) with two very thin layers of fabric instead of the usual thick one. I love them in hot weather.
