Greetings from sunny South Lake Tahoe

Peter and I drove to South Lake Tahoe to see some of his family this weekend. I mention this in my motorcycle journal because it was truly exciting for me to use a gas station restroom without having to first deal with gloves, a helmet, tankbag, padded jacket, padded leather pants, long underwear, and a tucked in shirt.

If I get nothing else out of my motorcycle touring, at least I will never again take wearing a simple sweatshirt and jeans for granted.

    Ah; it’s the simple pleasures… 🙂
I know the feeling… I get it every time I drive to work. I walk out with just my water bottle and wonder where the rest of my stuff is…

  2. I have never been excited to use a gas station restroom, with or without rain gear.

    I KNOW what you mean.
Plus there’s the solo riding addendum of hoping nobody steals anything off the bike while you’re in there. That whole locking thing on a car is so nifty.

LOL, since earlier that day on the ski hill I had to deal with snowboard, hat, goggles, scarf, gloves, jacket, belt, snowpants, jeans, and long underwear before I could use the bathroom. 🙂

You think that’s bad…try working outside in 0 degrees (lots of layers) and having to use a port-o-potty! Talk about fun. Yeah, the guys have an advantage there! 🙂

Hey James, it’s a girl thing. I don’t blame you for not understanding. 🙂
