I finally dragged my ass out to the garage today to clean and lube the chain. Only, oh, about 200 miles overdue — which, believe you me, is punctual. There’s something about doing the chain — probably something like being dirty, smelly, and requiring prep work, all for a 45-second job — that just really repels me. I procrastinate it like nobody’s business. And I wonder why I’m on my fourth chain and sprocket set in just under four years.
