Personal Trainer class

OK, I promise this isn’t turning into a Fitness journal. πŸ˜‰

Since I’ve been talking a lot about lifting and routines lately, I wanted to put my money where my mouth is.

I’ve signed up for the first two classes towards getting a Personal Fitness Trainer certificate through Foothill College:

Basic Nutrition for Sports and Fitness (3 units)
Concepts of Exercise Physiology for Fitness (4 units)

I was disappointed that I couldn’t get into an Anatomy and Physiology class this quarter — by the time I could register, the A&P classes were full. Next quarter, though, I’ll be a returning student, and can register in advance.

You can always try to bump your way in by showing up for the first class. In science, I’ve had great luck with that- the teachers add almost everybody because they know half are going to drop it when they realize it’s actual work. It’ll only take an hour of your time to find out, and hey, if not you’ll get a free hour’s worth of instruction out of it… πŸ˜‰

I think I’m just going to wait til next quarter — I already have the 2 classes for this one. πŸ™‚ Plus, it’s been 12 years (!) since I took a biology class, so I’m happy to have the extra time to read up on A&P on my own.

Wow – good for you πŸ™‚
Gonna be busy next year, then? πŸ˜‰
