The SVS is Way Fucked Up. It stalled a few times on the way to/from lunch today, and didn’t want to start up again at the last stop light. I got it home, parked in front of the house, and messed around with it, which seems to have utterly messed it up. The clutch is definitely dragging something awful; it got noticeably worse every time I started the bike and downshifted into first. Now it won’t even start in neutral, and instead makes a gut-wrenching WHIRRRRRCLUNK death cry.

At least I had nothing planned for the afternoon….I can think of worse ways to spend a lazy Sunday. Except for there’s no beer in the house. This may have to get remedied before I tear apart the SVS.

Ack! I feel your pain. While it sucks that I cannot ride because of the 8″ of snow on the ground. I *know* it sucks even more when you can ride, and your bike is up dawson’s creek without a paddle. πŸ™
Your smarter than most motorcycle mechanics I’ve ever met. I know you’ll get it. BTW. This blog is major McFly.

Hey, at least your bike had the common courtesy to wait until winter weather set in before throwing a mechanical tantrum! πŸ™‚
Besides, as long as it’s rainy and cold outside (as it has been here in N. Calif. for the past week), beer and TV ain’t such a bad alternative! Have a Happy Christmas and Merry New Year, and all that!
