At least you can’t feel the earthquakes up there. 😉

Not true! We were on the plane, sitting on the runway. The quake hit about 15 minutes after I posted this picture — it felt as though a truck had hit the side of the plane, and we rocked back and forth for a couple of seconds.

Ahhhh. Now I remember why I live on the east coast. Because I dont have to worry about my state constantly trying to fall into the ocean. I guess only being able to ride half the year is marginally better than being able to ride all year long with the threat of the earth kicking your arse.

  4. WhiteRaven says:

Well… I have lived here six years now and have only felt three earthquakes. I would rather be able to ride 12 months of the year. 😉 OTOH, this was my first big one, and I do have some acquaintances in Paso Robles, so I’m worried.

  5. carolyn says:

Yeah, I think I’d rather have 12 months of riding, too. 😉 The East Coast does get earthquakes, too, don’t forget — and your buildings aren’t retrofit!
