Installing a F800GS beak extender

what you'll need:
Time needed: About a half-hour

  • F800GS beak extender
  • Exacto knife
  • Drill
  • Small drill bit
  • 1/4" drill bit

background.
There's absolutely no reason that I got this other than aesthetics. Heh.

procedure.
Hold the beak extender up against the motorcycle beak.

Take an Exacto knife and make a little scratch on the beak at the bolt hole in the extender.

Make a small pilot hole with a tiny drill bit. Any size will work as long as its teensy and smaller than the bolt.

Next, drill the "real" bolt hole.

Install the beak extender and you're all done!

result.
All done! Here are the before and afters!
