March 1, 2001

happy march.
We're 1/6 through the year 2001. Are you having fun yet?

more random tidbits.
So, when I mailed the paperwork to Meriwest earlier this week, I included (at their request) my latest paycheck stub. Yesterday I got an envelope from Meriwest in the mail which consisted of...my paycheck stub. Just a plain envelope with the stub. No letter saying "thanks, we got all your paperwork, we're processing it, we'll be back in touch." No letter saying "screw you, we don't want to give you a loan after all, and you can have your stoopid paystub back." Nothing. I thought that was sort of interesting. I guess I'll wait and see what happens.

I learned something pretty cool while mindlessly surfing the web today: Suzuki has a really kickass FAQs section. I was really impressed. You can look up normal motorcycle stuff like double overhead camshafts, and it'll tell you which bikes of theirs have them, and what they are, and cute little pictures. It also has proprietary Suzuki stuff like TSCC. I wasted a bunch of time today reading about random bike parts and engine components. What a great idea, though; that'd be really neat if other bike manufacturers would take that hint and have a comprehensive list of which of their bikes have what components.

I had more to talk about tonight, but I'm over at Peter's and there are conversations going on which are distracting me. So I'll finish this later. :)
